For over two decades, Cafe Baobab has been a quiet constant in Newtown — a breakfast cafe where neighbours meet, conversations flow, and life slows down just a little.

Baobab

Cafe Baobab takes its name from the Baobab tree — often called the Tree of Life. Across cultures, the Baobab is known for offering shelter, nourishment, and quiet strength.

For more than twenty years, Cafe Baobab has been part of Newtown’s everyday life as a beloved breakfast cafe and coffee shop. It has been a place to meet, to rest, to talk, to think — and sometimes, simply to sit quietly with a cup of coffee.
